The Mexicana magic mushroom, deeply rooted in Mexico’s history for thousands of years, was revered by indigenous cultures as Teonanácatl ("flesh of the gods") before Spanish colonization. This name reflects the profound respect and spiritual significance these mushrooms held. Today, they are also known as "Pajaritos."
This indigenous strain carries a rich cultural legacy within its mycelium and was the first to be sold in Dutch Smart Shops, owing to its easy cultivation and balanced effects. It remains a top choice for both cultivation and mycological study.
Cultivating Mexicana mushrooms is straightforward, as they adapt to a range of conditions (within optimal parameters) and offer consistent psilocybin levels. Using a heated mini-greenhouse with a temperature of 22–24°C and humidity of 60–80%, you can achieve up to four flushes of Psilocybe cubensis Mexicana with ease.
These mushrooms feature a striking pure white stem and a light brown cap, which may darken depending on growing conditions. Their effects, while potent, are more manageable than those of other psychedelic mushrooms, offering vivid visuals inspired by Mesoamerican symbolism, deep introspection, and a harmonious connection with the cosmos and self.
The Mexicana mushroom grow kit is intended exclusively for mycological, educational, or collectible purposes.
