Within the vast world of psychoactive mushrooms, Psilocybe tampanensis stands out for its historical and biological relevance. This species was the first in which the formation of sclerotia, commonly known as magic truffles or philosopher's stones , was identified. Although extremely rare in the wild - in fact, it has only rarely been found in nature - Psilocybe tampanensis belongs to the Strophariaceae family and has been widely cultivated in controlled environments. This practice has been developed primarily because of its unique ability to produce sclerotia, a characteristic not shared by all varieties of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Thanks to its psychoactive potential and its value as a pioneer species in the world of magic truffles, Psilocybe tampanensis has become a highly valued mushroom by both mycological researchers and specialist growers.
Although Psilocybe tampanensis is believed to have been used for centuries, its official discovery did not take place until 1977, when it was first identified in Tampa, Florida. Interestingly, although the species is named after that city, no wild specimens have been found in that area since then. However, they have been located elsewhere, such as in the state of Mississippi. The original specimen found in Florida was cloned, and thanks to this reproduction, it is now relatively easy to find specimens of Psilocybe tampanensis in specialized cultures.
This product is intended for ornamental, collection or mycological research purposes only. It should not be consumed under any circumstances. In situations of accidental ingestion, this variety of truffles could cause the following effects:
The manifestations of consumption are perceived between 30 and 60 minutes after ingestion and its total duration is approximately 4 to 6 hours.
To preserve magic truffles in optimal conditions, it is recommended to store them in their original, unopened packaging and keep them refrigerated. Under these conditions, their freshness can be preserved for up to one month. Once the package has been opened, it is advisable to consume them within a maximum of 3 days, since after that time their properties may begin to degrade.
If you wish to keep them for longer, it is advisable to dehydrate them completely. Dried truffles should be stored in an airtight container, in a cool, dry and dark environment. In this way, they can be kept in good condition for up to 2 years.
Important: The amount of psilocybin present in truffles can vary significantly between their fresh and dried state.
Package contents: 15 grams of Pajaritos magic truffles.
