The bread consists of a 1200 ml container filled with grain substrate, previously colonized by the mycelium of the Psilocybe cubensis Mazatapec variety.

Hailing from Mexico, Mazatapec mushrooms have their roots in the region where Westerners first discovered entheogenic mushrooms. These mushrooms reach heights of up to 25 cm, with brown bell-shaped caps that can be up to 12 cm wide. In short, they are large, robust and eye-catching mushrooms.

Growing Mazatapec mushrooms

With a constant temperature between 22 and 24 °C and humidity maintained between 60% and 80%, these mushrooms thrive quickly, especially if the instructions detailed in the online cultivation guide are followed. The use of a digital thermo-hygrometer simplifies the precise control of these parameters, making the process even more efficient.

By maintaining rigorous hygiene and stable environmental conditions, this bread allows for multiple harvests (or "flushes"). The first batch of mushrooms will be ready for cutting 15 to 20 days after start-up. Depending on care and harvesting time, the kit can produce up to four cycles, generating between 500 g and 800 g of fresh mushrooms in total (equivalent to 50 g-80 g once dried).
