Golden Teacher spore prints are compilations of microscopic spores meticulously obtained from mature mushrooms of this variety. Highly valued by growers and mycology enthusiasts, they stand out for their high quality and their great potential for the study and reproduction of fungi. Each print acts as a genetic blueprint, providing the basis for the cultivation of new mushrooms or the exploration of mycological diversity.
The print contains millions of viable spores extracted from Golden Teacher mushrooms at their optimum ripening point. These spores keep the genetic composition of the parent mushroom intact, ensuring a uniform and stable culture. With no additives or chemicals, each spore print is a 100% natural product, reflecting the life cycle of the mushroom. To preserve their viability, the spores are stored under sterile conditions, ensuring their long-term integrity. With proper storage and handling, these prints can be kept for years without losing their viability, making them a reliable choice for any mycology enthusiast.
Spore prints can be used in a variety of ways, but two of the most common methods are as follows:
A widely used home method involves mixing the spores with sterile distilled water to create a solution that facilitates inoculation of the special grain substrate chosen for culture.
In this process, the spores are placed in a Petri dish with agar, where they germinate and develop mycelium. Once formed, the healthiest and most viable portions are carefully selected for transfer to new Petri dishes to propagate the culture in a safe and controlled manner. When the mycelium has grown sufficiently, it is accurately incorporated into the final substrate to complete the process.
The spore print is intended exclusively for educational, mycological or collection purposes.
