Origin and history of Psilocybe galindoi

Psilocybe galindoi was classified and named by the Mexican mycologist Gastón Guzmán in honour of Carlos Galindo Arias. Guzmán is considered the foremost world authority on the study of the Psilocybe genus, and throughout his career he extensively documented Mesoamerican psychoactive mushroom species, which is why the species bears the name of someone from his close circle in recognition of his contribution. The sclerotia of P. galindoi were originally discovered in forests in Mexico and the state of Georgia, and were later successfully cultivated in Dutch laboratories, where Mondo produces them today under controlled temperature and humidity conditions to guarantee consistency across batches.

• Unopened: Retain their properties for up to 2 months in the refrigerator.
